Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Mason made it clear a one-year contract is not going to be enough to keep him in Baltimore. In fact, Mason said he would need a two-year commitment to begin a 14th season this fall. Set to become an unrestricted free agent on March 5, Mason thinks his 2009 season merits more than a token one-year deal to return to Baltimore. Mason also made it clear he's willing to leave the Ravens for the right situation with another team — probably a contender looking for a reliable possession type. If he can’t stick around for a couple years, Mason may decide to hang it up for good. ... For what it's worth, the Ravens would like to keep him. But will they commit to two year? Stay tuned.
