Rob Chudzinski returned to the San Diego Chargers’ staff on Wednesday to coach tight ends and serve as assistant head coach.

Chudzinski, the Cleveland Browns’ offensive coordinator the past two seasons, coached the Chargers’ tight ends from 2005-06. Antonio Gates recorded career highs in catches and yards receiving in 2005 and made the Pro Bowl in both of Chudzinski’s seasons with the team.
