HC Mike Tomlin denied reports Thursday that Roethlisberger had X-rays on his back this week in the wake of a crushing hit he took against Baltimore in the AFC championship game. “Not that I heard,” said Tomlin, who then asked Steelers spokesman Dave Lockett if he knew of any X-rays on Roethlisberger. Lockett said no.

Roethlisberger avoided the subject when asked about it prior to Tomlin's press conference, letting his coach do the talking. “Ben’s health is often the subject of inaccurate reports. He’s fine,” Tomlin said. Once again, Roethlisberger has practiced fully and does not appear on the team's official injury report released each of the last two days.
