The Facts:
HC Jack Del Rio said on his radio show Tuesday that running back Fred Taylor could be placed on injured reserve because of a thumb injury suffered Sunday at Chicago. In addition, the club will place fullback Greg Jones (ankle) on injured reserve and is considering a similar move for receiver Jerry Porter, who suffered a strained groin against the Bears.

To fill holes in the roster, the club plans to bring in former Jaguars running backs LaBrandon Toefield and Alvin Pearman today for workouts. ... If Taylor does go IR, Maurice Jones-Drew immediately becomes a bit more attractive.
