The Facts:
Despite some speculation that Palmer could return at some point during the final weeks of the 2008 season, FOXSports insider Jay Glazer reports that Palmer won’t play again this year. Glazer also reports that Palmer won’t have surgery on his troublesome elbow.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As PFT's Mike Florio suggests, shutting Palmer down is the right call. The fact that Palmer has had most of this season and will have a full offseason to rest the elbow allows him to avoid the still-risky "Tommy-John" surgery that would have otherwise been necessary. While Jake Delhomme returned to start this season after having the procedure, Delhomme had it last October. Palmer would have struggled to return if the surgery had been needed this late.
