Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
In fact, the Packers contend the league can't reinstate Favre today because it's not open for business -- but NFL Network insider Adam Schefter reports that official reinstatement is a mere formality and could come at any time. But that doesn't change the fact that Favre is heading for Green Bay. According to ESPN's Wendy Nix, the two sides will make some kind of decision today with two possible choices: 1) Favre will accept the team's $20-25 million marketing deal and remain retired; 2) the two sides will agree to having the veteran signal caller report to training camp Monday (noon central time). ... Sounds like the resolution we all want is coming. It is still too soon to say which way it will go -- but the fact Favre arrive in time to attend the sold-out Packers Family Night tonight at Lambeau Field, which more than 60,000 fans were expected to attend, has to put at least a little pressure on team officials. Stay tuned.
