Grant has yet to show up to training camp, and he was seeking a substantial raise to be the featured back in the Packers offense. Grant, who exploded onto the scene last year with 956 yards and eight touchdowns in 15 games, was reportedly aiming for a six-year, $40 million contract, a proposal the Packers felt was too high. Whatever the case, the fact that the two sides have been able to strike a deal means the Packers get one of last year's most consistent offensive weapons back in the fold in a timely enough manner.
