Restricted free agent Scaife will sign his one-year tender offer of $1.47 million on Thursday, according to his agent, Kevin Robinson. In 46 NFL games Scaife has 112 receptions, averaging 9.5 yards per catch, and five touchdowns.

Scaife, a sixth-round pick by the Titans in 2005, had 46 receptions for 421 yards and one touchdown last season. This season he'll play behind veteran tight end Alge Crumpler, a free agent acquired last month. The Titans also added free agent tight end Dwayne Blakley after electing not to re-sign Ben Troupe and Ben Hartsock from the 2007 roster.
