The Facts:
Walker, the Broncos receiver who missed half of last season with ongoing knee trouble, was given a six-year, $55 million deal with $16 million in guarantees. HC Lane Kiffin said last week that the knee injury "was a major concern."

Kiffin was "very involved" in the personnel decisions, but it was owner Al Davis -- described by Kiffin as the team's general manager -- who had the final say on additions. Now it's up to Kiffin to make sure Davis gets his money's worth no matter the risks attached to several big-money investments, starting with Walker. ... For what it's worth, Chronicle staffer David White reports that Walker is currently "about 90 percent healthy."
