The Facts:
Panthers owner Jerry Richardson said Wednesday that he's not "overly stressed" about the instruction the draft's No. 1 overall pick, Newton, is missing out on as the lockout lingers. "We all would like to see Newton playing sooner rather than later)," Richardson said. "We're all playing by the same rules. If we weren't, then it would be a different deal."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Coaches are banned from communicating with players during the lockout. As PFW's Dan Parr notes, Newton has been studying Carolina's playbook and working out with former NFL QBs Ken Dorsey and Chris Weinke in Florida, but he will join his Panthers teammates for player-organized workouts next week in Charlotte. Still, from a Fantasy Football perspective, the players most in need of OTAs and mini-camps this year -- rookie QBs -- aren't getting the level of attention necessary to hit the field running when training camps open.
