The Facts:
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that Orton is on the Vikings' radar as a veteran complement to rookie Christian Ponder.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Mortensen considers Orton to be a likelier target than Donovan McNabb but the price to get him in a trade would probably be steeper. After the stellar year Orton had with the Broncos last year, he might be able to command as high as a No.2 pick. Orton is young enough that he would undoubtedly want to at least be in a fair competition for the starting job and the Vikings have said they want Ponder to start right away. As the Redzone.org suggests, it would be a pretty safe bet that Orton would beat out Ponder in a truly open competition. ... Meanwhile, Joe Webb appears to be out of the equation, unless he is kept as a No.3 QB.
