Paola Boivin of the Arizona Republic reports that Wells is participating in informal workouts with other offensive teammates and "looks like he didn't have an ounce of body fat on him." Wells has fully recovered from last season's knee injury.

We'll go ahead and remind you that Wells reportedly looked really good this time last year. Now, as the Redzone.org suggests, if someone could just light a fire under Wells so he resembles the running back the Cardinals thought they were getting when they drafted him out of Ohio State. Maybe direct competition for his job will work where coaching motivation has not. The Cardinals drafted Ryan Williams out of Virginia Tech in the second round and Williams is gunning for Well's job. That kind of challenge worked in Carolina with DeAngelo Williams when Jonathan Stewart was drafted and Arian Foster, last year's yardage leader, sure looked like a different guy after Ben Tate was drafted by the Texans.
