QB Speculation In Minnesota Includes Donovan McNabb
(4/9 12:7 PT)

The Facts:
Although HC Leslie Frazier and player personnel VP Rick Spielman are noncommittal about their starting quarterback when next season begins, it's beginning to look more and more as if it could be McNabb. Reported by the St. Paul Pioneer-Press

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to Pioneer Press columnist Charley Walters, "That's what makes the most sense. ..." Walters, who offered the report without citing (or claiming) any sources, went on to express his belief that the team is unlikely to take a QB with their No. 12 pick in the draft (although they are expected to choose one later, maybe in the second round). Walters further suggested the Vikings still have enough overall veteran talent to keep them from rebuilding, so turning over the reins to an unproven QB simply seems too risky and owner Zygi Wilf still seems to be in a win-now mode. Walters also believes McNabb, 34, could be acquired from the Redskins for a fifth-round pick or so in next year's draft, and they might even release him. McNabb could run the offense for a year or two while the Vikings develop a young QB. All speculation -- but given McNabb's tenuous status in Washington, interesting nonetheless.
