The Facts:
The Panthers have said they intend to do what it takes to keep Williams, one of the few strengths on a team that first-year HC Ron Rivera inherited. With the QBsituation completely up in the air, the Panthers need to keep their ground game en tact. But they could have real competition for the services of Williams, and there could be mutual interest between him and the Miami Dolphins.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Williams, visiting with the Kup and Kelly Show on WQAM in Florida, said that he’d be open to joining the Miami Dolphins. “I’ve heard rumors that I may be at the top their (want list),” Williams said. As NFP staffer Brad Biggs notes, the Dolphins need to revamp their running game and might have other needs to address other than running back in the draft. “This is a place I’d like to live,” Williams added. “I hope I’m at the top of their list and they come after me.” Biggs reminded readers, however, that Williams has also been very forward about saying he would like to remain with the Panthers. That said, Biggs added the Panthers aren't going to get a hometown discount.
