As PFT notes, Smith is a powerful back, but didn't flash special ability in three seasons with the Chiefs. Injuries have been an issue. If fact, Smith has been limited to just 11 games over the past two seasons due to knee and ankle injuries. Already lacking burst, his per-carry average has dropped from 3.6 to 2.66 in those 11 contests. He could battle another injury-prone back, Arrington, for the third running back spot.
