The Facts:
Johnson broke his silence Monday night but didn’t shed any light on when he might return to the Titans. The All-Pro running back, who wants a new long-term contract in the wake of his 2,006-yard season, missed his ninth off-season practice Monday and has yet to take part in the team’s off-season conditioning program, which began in March and is voluntary. "I am just focusing on trying to stay in shape and being ready when I am back on the field," Johnson said.

His base salary for this year is $550,000, and the Titans have yet to budge. Training camp begins July 31. Asked when he plans to report to the team, he said: “I don’t know. I’m just working out.’’ Asked if he’s prepared to hold out until he gets a new contract, he said, “No comment. ...’’ We'll continue watching.
