In case you missed it earlier today, La Canfora's report conflicts with St. Paul Pioneer Press columnist Charley Walters report on a "hot rumor" that Favre won't undergo the procedure. Per PFT's Mike Florio, La Canfora also reports that he'd be "very surprised" if Favre isn't the starter come Week 1. We second that notion -- even though we don't expect an official verdict until August. ... We'll also go ahead and point out that Florio has heard (on more than one occasion) that Vikings officials expect Favre to play two more seasons.
