The Facts:
According to Pioneer-Press columnist Charley Walters, the "hot rumor" is that Favre will decline to have left ankle surgery as recommended by an orthopedist. What that means for his future with the Vikings is unclear.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As
previously reported, Favre told ESPN's Ed Werder last month that he needs surgery on his left ankle to play the upcoming season, and he was deliberating whether to have the procedure. Shortly after Favre wroted on his website, "While my ankle has been bothering me, the injury is not debilitating. ..." Is it possible Favre could play without having the surgery he said only last month was necessary to play? Of course. It's Brett Favre. It's May. He could decide (and undecide) any number of things before training camp begins in August. And we'll continue to follow along and try to do our best to put things in perspective.
