NFL rules prohibit draft picks from participating in anything more than a rookie mini-camp before their school’s graduation. Stanford operates on the quarter system, and Gerhart is scheduled to graduate on June 13 (the final day of Vikings’ mini-camp). Still, Gerhart told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that he is still hopeful of making it out to mini-camp. “We’re trying to figure out how all that is going to work out,” Gerhart said. “I don’t know. We’ll see. We’re trying to figure out how to get around everything so I can make it to that. ...” The good news? Gerhart's services aren't needed on an urgent basis with Adrian Peterson sitting atop the depth chart.
