Sapp Suggests Chris Johnson Holdout Could Run Long
(5/13 10:30 PT)

The Facts:
NFL Network analyst Warren Sapp says Jeff Fisher shouldn't be so confident that Johnson will show up in Tennessee soon. Sapp, who lives in Orlando like Johnson, says he sat down with the Titans RB recently. He got the idea that Johnson is very serious about wanting a new deal now. "There's going to have to be some talking before Chris goes back to Tennessee," Sapp said.  Reported by Profootballtalk.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Johnson wants a new contract. Per PFT, host Rich Eisen mentioned that a lot of players talk tough in May, but show up when they are going to get fined. Sapp didn't budge, however. "He's prepared to take this through training camp," the former Buccaneer and Raider said. ... Fisher, meanwhile, told the Nashville Tennessean he thinks Johnson would like to be in Nashville working out with his teammates. The coach went on to suggest Johnson would be there if it weren't for his agent. "I think [Johnson is] not here because of the advice [he's] been given," Fisher said. ... Stay tuned. We sense an ongoing storyline coming.
