Johnson missed Monday's start of organized team activities because he is unhappy with his contract. The OTAs are not mandatory like the team's June mini-camp.

Johnson has five years remaining on his contract and will make a base salary of $5.8 million in 2010. With the high-end of the WR pay scale closer to $10 million annually, Johnson is clearly underpaid. G.M. Rick Smith said he has been in contact with the Pro Bowl receiver and plans to meet with him at some point. But it's not clear what the Texans might be willing to do here. Two years ago, Johnson reworked his contract that was an eight-year deal worth $60 million that included a $15 million signing bonus. ... Stay tuned.
