The Facts:
Yes, Beanie Wells is the No. 1 pick. Yes, Beanie is assumed to be the starter at some point. But I don’t see Wells being handed anything. Hightower is determined to hold on to the starting role. And as for No. 1 picks, after watching DRC’s situation last year, I am guessing Wells will get the go-slow treatment too, especially after missing all the OTAs.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
So wrote AZCardinals.com insider Darren Urban, setting off a wildfire of Fantasy concern heading into the off month. And make no mistake about it: Hightower is feeling confident. Remember: He has a year under his belt -- which Wells won't -- and Hightower, who lost 15 pounds at the urging of strength and conditioning coach John Lott, feels like he is in much better shape this year and in better position to succeed. There's also no doubt he'll be ahead of Wells -- at least when training camp opens. Still, it's safe to assume the man who comes up short in the competition for No. 1 will see plenty of time; HC Ken Whisenhunt has always believed in using multiple backs.
