The Facts:
Bears QB Jay Cutler didn't have much to say about either Plaxico Burress or Brandon Marshall following the final day of organized team activities last week. But Cutler had plenty to say about his ex-Denver teammate Marshall during an interview with the Newport News (Va.) Daily Press. "I played with Brandon for three years and I think he's one of the best receivers in the NFL," Cutler said on Monday. "I think he can be one of the greatest ever to play. He's big and fast, and can do everything you want him to do, on the field and in the meeting room."

Cutler spoke highly of Marshall and seemed open to reuniting with him in Chicago. The disgruntled Marshall wants out of Denver, although the Bears don't appear to be interested in pursuing a trade for the Pro Bowl receiver. "I don't know what we're going to do," Cutler admitted. "That's up to the guys upstairs. If we make a run at him, we make a run at him. ..." Interesting that Cutler waits until he's away from teammates to talk up Marshall. Whatever the case, Tribune staffer Vaughn McClure points out that Burress seems like a more feasible option than Marshall, but he doesn't expect the Bears to land either player.
