The Facts:
New OC Scott Linehan coached Culpepper for three seasons when they were with the Minnesota Vikings (2002-04) and they did a lot of damage in the NFL. However, HC Jim Schwartz downplayed the possibility that their relationship would mean that Culpepper will definitely be back with Detroit next season. "We were very clear that that connection isn't going to necessarily mean we're either keeping or not keeping Daunte," Schwartz said.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The Lions face a decision on Culpepper because he has a $2.5 million roster bonus due Feb. 27 and that will trigger an additional $2.5 million in salary for the 2009 season. In addition to Culpepper, the Lions currently have Dan Orlovsky, Drew Stanton, Drew Henson and Jon Kitna on the roster. Some have suggested that a team with five QBs really has none. The question now is whether they add to the mix with the first pick overall in April's draft.
