According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, the Kansas City Chiefs have fired HC Herman Edwards. No replacement has been announced.

The move doesn't come as a tremendous surprise with new GM Scott Pioli expected to install his own choice after he was hired to run the Chiefs earlier this month. Among those in consideration for the opening are Cardinals OC Todd Haley, who can't be offered until after the Super Bowl. Current Chiefs OC Chan Gailey has also been mentioned as a candidate.
