The Facts:
The shoulder injury that has sidelined Johnson since August 17 is apparently more serious than Ocho Cinco has let on. Although the injury has been described as a sprained shoulder, Adam Schefter of NFL Network reported today that in reality, Johnson has a torn labrum in his shoulder. If Johnson decided to have surgery to repair the injury, it would end his season.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to Schefter, Johnson's current plan is to forego the surgery until after the season and play through the injury, and he expects to be on the field on September 7 when the Bengals open the season at Baltimore. Meanwhile, as PFT's Michael David Smith notes, Johnson claims that his shoulder is doing fine. He told Bengals.com today, "I'm lifting my normal weight. I do everything normal now. Everything. It's been what? Eight days? I'm back to normal. ..." Stay tuned. We'll continue to follow Johnson's status closely.
