The Facts:
The Falcons on Sunday signed Marcus Pollard, four days after the veteran tight end was released by the New England Patriots. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Also on Sunday, the Falcons waived tight end George Cooper.

The 6-3, 255-pound Pollard is entering his 14th season and has 349 career receptions for 4,280 yards and 40 touchdowns. Last season, Pollard appeared in 14 games with the Seattle Seahawks and recorded 28 catches for 273 yards.
