The Facts:
Avery, the first wide receiver taken in the 2008 draft, did not participate in Tuesday afternoon's practice because of what HC Scott Linehan described as a small crack in the pelvic bone. Avery suffered the injury Monday in practice, coming down on the hip after a catch.

He was given a complete round of tests Monday, and the injury is not thought to be serious. Team sources told the Post-Dispatch Avery would miss anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on how the injury responds to rest and treatment.
