The Facts:
The Packers have been calling all over the National Football League trying to acquire something of value for the Hall of Fame QB, whom they no longer want. But a source close to the trade process said the team had nothing even close to an offer it would consider.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
In fact, the Packers are having trouble finding teams -- at least those outside the NFC North -- even interested in taking Favre on. According to Journal-Sentinel staffer Bob McGinn, teams with young QBs in need of careful nurturing include Atlanta, Buffalo and Baltimore. Kansas City and Miami appear to have no interest in Favre. The Jets and Bucs have been mentioned as possible destinations, but neither team appears to be pushing for a deal. Meanwhile, Favre has declined to give the Packers a list of teams for which he'd consider playing, complicating the club's efforts. ... Also: No word on whether Favre plans to send his (already signed) letter requesting reinstatement to league headquarters. Stay tuned.
