According to ESPN insider Chris Mortensen, Favre has faxed his letter requesting reinstatement to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

Once Goodell reinstates Favre -- which he will do in fairly short order -- the veteran signal caller will be eligible to report to training camp with the Packers -- something team officials would very much like not to happen. As Mortensen suggested, Favre faxing the letter to Goodell is going to move the situation forward. But it doesn't mean resolution is imminent. ... Stay tuned. Things could/should get more interesting in coming days.
