Battle missed the first week of voluntary OTAs. There was immediate speculation Battle might be disgruntled with his place on the depth chart after the club signed Bryant Johnson and Isaac Bruce. Last Wednesday, Battle spoke to the 49ers and told the Press Democrat that he missed the first week of practices due to "personal reasons." He said he planned to attend the final two weeks of workouts. And it appears that is indeed the case.
