Well, we're now guaranteed to have several more months (or years) of the whole "Will Brett unretire?" talk. Appearing on The Late Show with David Letterman, Favre talked about his status. "I think when training camp gets close, something's bound to happen," Favre told Letterman. Letterman then asked him what that means. "I don't know," Favre said. "Did I just say that?"

Yes. ... He did just say that. And it got Letterman excited. "You just said, 'Something's bound to happen,' so this makes me think you're not retired." Said Favre: "Butterflies, or -- I don't know, something's bound to happen. ..." Nothing like a vague statement to keep tongues wagging. Favre certainly did nothing to quell the unretirement talk. And, of course, we haven't heard the end of this one.
