The Facts:
The Bears signed Lloyd to a one-year contract Friday. Terms were not immediately disclosed.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Lloyd played under Bears OC Ron Turner at the University of Illinois. The free-agent last played with the Redskins; he only played eight games in 2007, catching two passes for 14 yards. Lloyd is the second veteran free-agent receiver signed by the Bears this week, joining Marty Booker, who signed two-year deal. ... Booker is the early favorite to work as the team's No. 1 receiver; Lloyd will apparently battle Devin Hester and Mark Bradley for snaps.
