Trent Green Considering His Options
(3/7 1:21 PT)

The Facts:
Green completed his free-agent visit to St. Louis on Thursday, and left town without a Rams contract. But the team still hopes to have Green under contract by the end of the weekend. According to Green's agent, Jim Steiner, the veteran QB wants a couple of days to mull things over before deciding where he will play in 2008. "He'll make a very informed decision based on all the information he's gathered in the last few days in New Orleans and St. Louis," Steiner said. Reported by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Green visited New Orleans earlier in the week. He has no other visits planned, but Steiner said Green Bay and the Giants have expressed interest. Rams HC Scott Linehan said the fact that Green wants a couple of days to think things over "was to be anticipated." That's how Green handled things when he signed with the Rams as a free agent prior to the 1999 season, was with the club for two years, then was traded to Kansas City in 2001. ... Linehan also said Green, who has missed most of the last two seasons with severe concussions, checked out fine after being examined by team doctors Thursday. "We have no concerns on our end at all," Linehan said.
