Millen: Lions Aren't Planning To Trade Roy Williams
(3/8 8:51 PT)

The Facts:
Any trade talks involving Williams are one way. The Lions are on the listening end, not making the calls. Williams is not being shopped in any trade talks, Lions president Matt Millen said Friday. "I'll listen to any offer," Millen said Friday. "I've said that I'll listen to any offer for anybody. In the end, we want Roy Williams. That's the deal -- whatever the terms are." Millen would not elaborate further. Reported by the Detroit News

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Williams has been the subject of trade speculation in Philadelphia, where the Eagles are seeking to give QB Donovan McNabb a big-play receiving threat. The Eagles reportedly considered making a bid for Randy Moss before he re-signed with the Pats earlier in the week. There also have been reports that they inquired about dealing for Larry Fitzgerald. ... As News staffer Mike O'Hara noted, Williams has been inconsistent at times, but he is a powerful, big-play threat. Williams has 245 receptions in four years and a 14.9-yard average per catch with 28 touchdowns and HC Rod Marinelli maintains a Williams-Calvin Johnson tandem is important to the team's success.
