The Facts:
Following up on the
ongoing story. ... Asked if the 49ers might be interested in Moss, who reportedly had
a strong workout Tuesday in New Orleans, GM Trent Baalke replied: "Everything's in play. I mean, we're going to take a look at all our options. ... We're not going to rule anybody out."

Of course they're not. ... In addition to Moss, Baalke was asked about the giving up a first-round pick to sign
a restricted free agent like Steelers WR Mike Wallace: "We aren't going to rule anything out -- trades, free agency, drafts, needs. We're always trying to improve the roster. And that's something we're committed to. So if there's a move we can make, whether it's picking guys up off the street, whether it's signing some free agents from other if it's signing some free agents from other teams, going after a restricted free agent, drafting. ... Nothing's off limits. We're willing to whatever it takes to make this team as strong as we can make it. ..." While the Niners won't be the only team interested in Moss and/or Wallace, you'd be hard-pressed to find a high-end team with a greater need at the position than San Francisco.
