Team sources told NFL Network's Albert Breer on Sunday that the New York Giants fully expect Ballard to play against the Niners. Due to the nature of his knee injury, the team will wait until seeing him move in warmups to make a final call.

Giants Radio Network's Anita Marks said the same during a Saturday night appearance with the FootballDiehards on Sirius/XM Fantasy Sports Radio. Ballard had a minor "procedure" on the knee on Thursday, but HC Tom oughlin said it was not surgery. Marks confirmed, however, that Ballard had the knee drained. The tight end is listed as questionable for tonight's game. We'll have his official game status in the hour leading up to kickoff.
