Grant played a big role in the offense with 92 yards rushing on 17 carries against the Bears Sunday, numbers that are all the more impressive because he did it while suffering from a bruised kidney. Grant wasn’t forced out of the game and his status for the Broncos game is up in the air.

Mike Vandermause of the Green Bay Press-Gazette notes that Grant got a game ball for his efforts on Sunday. As PFT suggested, it will be interesting to see how his kidney injury affects him this week because it certainly looks like the Pack are going to go with whichever back is hotter between Grant and James Starks. An injury could throw a wrench in those plans, although the choice of back doesn’t seem to have much impact on their overall offensive production so far this year.
