Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
In the interim, Nelson urged both sides to talk to one another under federal mediation -- supervised by her -- before she rules. A mediated/negotiated settlement remains the best-case scenario. As National Football Post labor expert Andrew Brandt put it, supervised mediation (especially because it's directly supervised by the judge in charge of the case) is "good news." Still, as ESPN's Adam Schefter notes, the worst-case scenario also remains intact. Assuming Nelson takes a couple of weeks to make a decision, the losing party appeal. That process could take 45 to 60 days. That would put us in mid-to-late June. ... Either way, we can all expect further heated public rhetoric from both parties until the decision is rendered. Stay tuned.
