As PFT explained, if the player’s chose to decertify without a counterproposal on a day with signfigant movement, it would support the belief that the player’s believe they can get the best deal in court. Indeed, the same source that gave Silver his “split the difference” information says he union made no counter, and they are headed to court. Silver's report comes after ESPN insider Adam Schefter reported that NFLPA exectuive director DeMaurice Smith told players on his much-anticipated conference call Friday that the current plan for the union is to decertify. Seahawks player rep Chester Pitts, however, adamantly denied Schefter's report. ... Bottom line? Nothing is final yet. Stay tuned.
