Matthew Stafford Doesn't Expect To Play This Week
(11/8 8:56 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on an ongoing story. ... Making his weekly appearance on Free Press columnist Mitch Albom's radio show tonight, Stafford said, "I don't think so," when asked whether he expects to play Sunday at the Buffalo Bills. Reported by the Detroit Free Press

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
In case you missed it, Stafford had an MRI exam on his injured right shoulder today, but HC Jim Schwartz said surgery is not an option “at this point. ...” Schwartz declined to put a timetable on the quarterback’s return. The results of Stafford's MRI are expected to be forwarded to Dr. James Andrews, whom he visited in September in Alabama after separating his throwing shoulder in the first half of the Lions’ season-opening loss to the Bears. Backup Shaun Hill continues to recover from a fractured left forearm, though Schwartz said Hill “could potentially be ready” this weekend. Hill was the third QB Sunday, cleared only to hand the ball off in an emergency situation.
