Following up on a previous item. ... HC Pete Carroll confirmed that Tate suffered a sprained ankle in Sunday's loss to the Raiders.

"He does have a sprained ankle," Carroll explained. "Kind of typical medial sprain, could take a bit. We'll have to see how he responds. He's in the boot today so we don't know," Carroll said. ... We'll follow up as needed but the sprain -- even being a low sprain -- looked nasty when it happened and Carroll's comments lend further credence to that belief.
