Jay Glazer of FOX reports that, although HC Brad Childress has informed the team that Moss has been waived, the move has not yet officially occurred -- and Moss still has not been informed of the move.

PFT's Mike Florio went on to speculate that Childress might have acted on his own as part of an internal power struggle with other team officials. Whatever the case, Moss' agent, Joel Segal, has issued a statement based on news of the release, indicating that Moss is saddened by the move. Now we'll wait to see when it becomes official (which it still appears will be the case). ... Stay tuned.
