Tarvaris Jackson Dealing With Status Quo
(5/4 11:22 PT)

The Facts:
Jackson admits there have been times he thought a change might be best for him, but the Vikings one-time (and perhaps future) starting QB told Sirius NFL Radio on Tuesday that he never requested a trade after Brett Favre joined the Vikings last August. "Honestly, it crossed my mind and I’ve wanted change, but change is not always good," Jackson said. "The grass is not always greener on the other side." Reported by the Minneapolis Star Tribune

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Jackson has a point -- although his chances for advancement depend solely on Favre. ... As Star Tribune staffer Judd Zulgad notes, most assume that Favre will return in 2010, despite last week's report that he needs ankle surgery. The good news? If Favre doesn't return Jackson and Sage Rosenfels likely will battle for the starting job and HC Brad Childress indicated that Jackson would have the upper-hand entering that competition. ... So, much like the rest of us, Jackson awaits Favre's decision -- one that's not likely to made until training camp.
