Following up on an ongoing story. ... The Jets are not anticipating picking up Jones' $3.3 million roster bonus, according to a league source.  Reported by NFL.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The team and Jones could still work out a restructured deal prior to the start of the league year next week. But NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora reports that possibility does not seem great at this time and barring a reworked deal, Jones would become a free agent when the roster bonus is not picked up. Despite a productive 2009 season, the 31-year-old Jones has reached the point where age and wear and tear will preclude him from getting a huge contract. But La Canfora notes that in a weak free-agent class he could land a short-term deal with incentives.
