And as PFT's Mike Florio notes, contrary to his prior suggestion that he wants to play for a contender, Tomlinson said, "I don't have to win now," and that he'd be happy to join a team that's on the rise and headed in the right direction. ... That comment is already leading to speculation that Houston and Cleveland could be on his list of possible destinations. Per Florio, it's also an indication that he prefers to be a key player for an up-and-coming team and not a bit player for a championship team. Whatever the case, it's clear that Tomlinson still believes he can play at a high level.
