Brian Westbrook Has No Plans To Retire
(2/24 10:5 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on an ongoing story. ... A day after the Eagles announced that they will release him, Westbrook appeared on 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia and sounded positive and upbeat about his future in the NFL. "There's 32 teams out there," Westbrook said Wednesday morning. "Hopefully I'll have an opportunity to go and play with another team." Reported by Profootballtalk.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Per PFT's Michael David Smith, Westbrook thanked the fans of Philadelphia, said he was grateful to Eagles HC Andy Reid, and generally sounded like a man who has no regrets about his time with the team. At the same time, Westbrook said, his agent has already heard from three or four teams, and he will play in 2010. "My plan is not to retire," Westbrook said. "My plan is to continue to play football."
