NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell signed a five-year contract extension to remain commissioner of the NFL, SportsBusiness Daily/SportsBusiness Journal reported on its Twitter feed. Reported by The Sporting News

There are no pay increases in the new deal, according to SBD/SBJ. His previous deal was set to expire in September 201. ... With the league and the NFLPA laying the groundwork to battle it out over their next collective bargaining agreemement, it would appear the owners believe they have the right man for the job. According to New York Newsday's Bob Glauber, the owners were unanimous in approving Goodell's extension.
