The news comes as no real surprise. ... Holt, 33, caught 51 passes for 722 yards for the Jaguars last season and provided solid veteran leadership but the team is clearly looking to get younger. That being the case, Mike Thomas is the early favorite to join Mike Sims-Walker in the starting lineup with Holt no longer on board. ... As for Holt? Recent reports out of Chicago have suggested the Bears would be wise to bring a veteran with a solid understanding of new OC Mike Martz's offense. Holt would certainly fit that bill.
