Following up on the ongoing story. ... There has been a report or two that the Broncos are one of a handful of teams the Eagles have talked to about a potential landing spot for McNabb. But folks at the Broncos’ Dove Valley complex have used the phrase “no truth” in the last day or two to describe the McNabb rumblings.

So unless they are fibbing McNabb isn’t coming to the Broncos with his giant contract in tow — McNabb carries a $5 million salary cap figure in the upcoming season. We'll also go ahead and remind you one more time (at least) that the Eagles and McNabb both maintain the veteran QB will remain in Philadelphia this year. Still, current backup Kevin Kolb believes he’s ready to be a starter; the team’s current No. 3, Michael Vick, has said publicly he’s ready to start again; and the McNabb story still isn't going away any time soon.
